Welcome to the Ultimate Athlete Foundation. If you’re reading this, there is a reason. Whatever your reason for being here is, we ask that you don’t forget it, as it must be an important one and something that is motivating and inspiring you to be looking for a place like this.

The Ultimate Athlete Foundation is unlike any other “sports” related program anywhere. I’m sure you’ve read or heard that before from various people and websites, but the truth is, we are unique. Making great athletes is goal #5 for us. We’ll get into the others later, but at the Ultimate Athlete, goal #1 is to create the best version of the whole human being.

What do we mean?

Many programs offer “sport-specific” training for aspiring athletes no matter the age, gender, sport, or whether they are currently active in their sport. They don’t consider many variables such as the aforementioned nor complete assessments properly, and most really do not understand the reasons behind what they are asking their athletes to do. Many “trainers” perform a lot of the same activities they learned in high school or college athletics, watched on social-media, and or flat out made them up. Most programs offer 1-1.5 hour sessions and attempt to sell you on a number of “sessions” for as long as you can afford. There are even websites now that you can find these “private coaches” who pretty much fit the mold and root of our frustration in the youth and adult sports and fitness world.

Of course, we can’t blame people for being capitalists. However, we hate those that believe your money is the only thing that matters.

If you’re following what we’re saying and you’re still reading, great! You can relate to the frustration we feel too.

The word “athlete” in the Biblical sense means to strive for excellence. Sounds to us like you can be an athlete in just about any aspect of life? We hope that you strive to be excellent in your relationships, your faith, parenting, work, finances, health, and everything else you put your effort into. If you’re thinking that you’re failing in some of these areas, it’s okay, we do to!

Remember we asked you not to forget why you’re here? By joining the Ultimate Athlete family, you’ve made the first step into becoming an overall better person! If becoming a better athlete at your sport is a byproduct of the training programs we put you on, fantastic! Come talk to us when you’re in your 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s+ when everything you learned and worked for is still paying off.

Paying off? Yes! As mentioned before, most trainers are only attempting to train their athlete to be better at the specific sport. That’s cool, kind of… Let’s say you’re a parent looking for help to make your 13 year old son or daughter a better basketball player.

Let’s look at the worst case scenario first. Over the next 4-5 years, you spend on average $2,000 on private coaching. We’re not counting the costs for travel (gas), equipment, bags, shoes, etc. Just the coaching fee. After high school your kid goes off to college and never plays basketball again. That’s $10,000 you could have saved for college tuition if you only knew your athlete was not going to go beyond high school.

Let’s look at the best case scenario. Over the next 4-5 years, you spend the $2,000 annually for coaching and as a result, they get a college scholarship, eventually, they turn pro, and start making great money. By the time they are 30, they are within 1-3 years of being unemployed by the sport.

Pro tip: 3 out of 5 NBA players are bankrupt after just 4-5 years of playing or sooner in some cases. About the same goes for many athletes in various sports.

In either scenario, most people are only hoping that this investment pays off. Moreover, the best case scenario only applies to the 1% of the 1%.

“Wait, you sound pessimistic and negative, my child is the best athlete in the world” (as they say). No, we’re not pessimistic, we’re realists who want to provide you with not only better odds of achieving the best case scenario, we are also here to prove you with multiple other ways to achieve excellence in life.
